Bristol Village Cohousing Kids
BVCH Loves Our Kids!
Bristol Village Cohousing is a multigenerational community. Adults throughout the community support our youth by providing kid-friendly facilities and arranging activities for kids of all ages. Parents provide mutual support by opening up their homes and watching over each other’s children. The Kids Activities Team has helped set up things like:
Waffle/Sundae bar run by the kids
Bingo
Movie / Pizza night
Easter Egg hunts on the BVCH green
Birthday bags that appear on a kid’s birthday with a gift from the community
Ice cream sundae social to celebrate the last day of school
Kids get active during our work days. Everyone of every age wielded a paintbrush when we repainted our barn!
Our common house has a playroom filled with toys, puzzles and games for all ages. The basement has a large-screen TV, game tables, craft areas, and comfy places to hang out.
We also have a community pottery studio where one of our members leads clay classes, open to kids of all ages.
Below are some more reasons why Bristol is a great place to grow up!
Playgrounds
There is a playground across the street in the Bristol Common Green with swings, a play structure, fountain, picnic tables and even a band stand that hosts live concerts throughout the summer.
There’s also a great playground at Bristol Elementary School, five minutes away by foot.
